The third website in my 'Favourite Websites Recommendation List' is Urban Collective. This site is for all those with a graphic eye and a creative mind. The online magazine gives you access to pages and pages of previous covers-all stunning. They also run a monthly competition which allows you, yes you, to submit your own amazing designs. Really nice and free opportunity to show the world what you are made of!

Since building this site I have taken on board just how impressive and imaginative CSS design can be! My creative horizons have been broadened by the amazing and inspiring sites of Stylegala, Unmatched Style and CSS Zen Garden. These sites are a collection of cutting edge contemporary design and as some people call them "the designer's muse!"

Everybody knows that no two snowflakes are the same. Kind of like people really- so why not combine them both and "Create a Flake". This wicked little Flash application allows you to cut away at some paper, preview, cut some more and save. The gallery of little flakes it just a reminder that although we are all different in this world, we are all just as beautiful as each other! You can see my design in the top left hand corner below:

I am amazed by this site!! Say what you like, say how you feel and make those words beautiful images. It's a simple process, takes a minute to download, and gives you a really cool picture at the end. Here is what you have to do, thought I would explain it because I had a little trouble understanding it at first.

• Go to this site TypeDrawing
• Take a look at the best submissions so far or click Enter.
• You can then either look at all the submission using the navigation on the right and bottom or you can go ahead and make your own! Click on Drawing.
• Read the instruction, click ok.

This is where I got confused....

• Now here is the trick...type in the white box. You can change the font as many times as you want, the colour and the words.
• Now you have to grab your mouse and drag it over the white page (took me ages to figure this out!) This then creates the words you have written.
• Top Tip: Use the Webdings font to create images
• That's it really. You can clear the page as much as you like and submit it when you are happy. Now challenge yourself to create something that will be good enough to be published on the first page!!

Found this really nice little application called Montage A Google that creates picture montages from keywords of your choice. You can get some really beautiful results and some really funny ones too. Really neat for making quick and simple desktop pictures that you can change daily. There is even a game that you can play called Guess the Google, where you have to figure out which words were used to create the images.

This post won't mean anything to those who don't know her-but those who do I am sure will join me in singing "Happy Birthday"... Every now and again you come across a site that is just so random that you can't help but love it. I just so happened to find a site that has a whole list of them. Please visit Pointless Sites because some of them are just hysterical! Dress Your Gay Dog (?)- You have a time limit to get those earrings and feather boas on, or your dog can't go to the party!! Bubble Wrap- a whole site where you can spend hours popping bubble wrap! Brilliant but sad. Four Horses- So random but so funny! Target Shooter- Actually quite a difficult little game and highly addictive. I guess if you don't have my weird sense of humour you may not like these sites but I think they rock. This is why the internet was invented so that crazy people can get their crazy thoughts out into the world.
