Yesterday saw the launch of Muon Studio an illustration portfolio site for artist Asia Simpson. The site is still very much in development with lots of new photos, images and sketches being uploaded over the next few weeks. The illustrations are focused on Body Image and are beautiful and unqiue in style and composition. If you look on the Contact page you can even view images of the Muon Studio Illustration Exhibition which took place at The Arts Institute Bournemouth this week.

I am currently working on re-designing this website and as a webdesigner you would think this would be a pleasurable task to undertake..wrong! When it comes to designing your own site there are many stumbling blocks. Firstly I want to create a logo that will become synonymous with simplicity and beauty. I have been through about 12 designs so far and somehow it gets harder every time. When it comes to designing the template it's even harder! On a daily basis I look at great sites that incorporate unique styles and unusual layouts. Taking inspiration from each one and putting the best bits altogether just doesn't seem to work. So I thought I would compile this list of sites that I have found to be most useful so far. They have definitely made me think differently about what I want to say on my own re-design and although they are helpful the important factor when re-designing anyones site is to have your own vision. No site, no opinion matters apart from your own. So I wish you all the best of luck!!
